Another discovery!

Pipilotti RistPipilotti Rist, the swiss video-artist,and her friends were compiled by Subterfuge to mark the exhibition “Pröblëmas büenösâ€? organised by the MUSAC, the Contemporary Art Museum of Castilla y León. The record is absolutely wonderful, a small UFO in your library, impeccably crafted with the most developed musical sense. Remembers me of Anne Laplantine/Angelika Koehlermann’s Casiotone postcards, (”Bist Du Klein Bist Du Gross”), Lynch’s ambiences (”Swan”), Vincent Gallo’s guitars (”Hermado de Mi Madre Versión Lenta”), Tiger Lillies’s theatrality (”Kugu”), and sometimes each of those at the same time (”To See How You See”).

Don’t miss to listen entirely to her cover of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game” on her myspace.

And here I’ll let you with “Kugu”, orginally from the the Shooting Divas installation and sung by Saadet Türköz.
